Hello, I am iKazmi:
A Freelance Web-Developer-Designer-Hybrid By Profession
A Geek With Some Social Skills In General
I have been designing and developing websites since 2004 and I enjoy doing what I do. I have loved each and every bit of it from getting stuck while trying to implement a certain feature to successfully completing a project with over a 100,000 lines of code. Its been a ride I wouldn’t want to miss for the world, I guess this is what it means to be passionate about something.
Since I am, at the core, a programmer, learning new technologies and development techniques is an ingrained quality. I have worked on e-commerce websites, matrimonial sites, business specific sites and web-applications. Depending on the requirements of a project, I always try to implement the site to be cross-browser and W3C compatible and be SEO friendly (although, in some cases, a client might have requirements which would make some of these sometimes lofty goals unachievable).
When I am not developing or designing a website, I am generally involved with an electronics related project which usually involves me taking something apart, trying to put it back together the way it was and discovering at the end of it all that I still have bits and bobs on my desk. Well, its either wrecking perfectly working electronics or going to the gym which is another aspect of life that I enjoy, yes I know, a geek who is also a fitness buff? What’s this world coming to?
Depending on my mood, I can enjoy almost any type of music from Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik: Allegro to Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters to Nas’s I Know I Can to classic and pop Pakistani and Indian music.
Although I mostly enjoy sci-fi related tv shows such as Stargate SG1 but there are sit-coms like FRIENDS or That 70s Show and fantasy series like The Game of Thrones that I adore (hoping and praying that The Game of Thrones does not end being cancelled like Stargate Universe or The Sarah Connor Chronicles, has anyone else noticed how so many tv shows keep getting cancelled lately? I am almost afraid to get into any new shows). In movies, anything based on a comic book works.
